Led by founder and CEO John Shen, American Lending Center is dedicated to stimulating the United States economy through sustainable commercial investments. The company invests in small businesses in rural and underserved areas, enabling them to build new facilities and create jobs for American workers. Since 2009, American Lending Center has funded more than 80 projects in 19 states, facilitating the construction of fixed assets for manufacturing, hospitality, energy, long-term care, and retail businesses. American Lending Center is a private, non-bank lender. It invests with the capital it raises from immigrant investors who want to become US citizens through the EB-5 visa program. The program allows immigrant investors who invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in US commercial enterprises to petition the US Citizenship and Immigration Services for an EB-5 visa. American Lending Center (ALC) has facilitated equity and debt investments of over $1.2 billion into the United States, creating over 13,000 full-time jobs. Its funded projects include The Fountains at Cartersville, Georgia; Partake Collective 001 in Long Beach, California; Uptown at Liberty Park, Florida; and TownePlace Suites by Marriott in North Carolina. Besides equity and debt investments, ALC supports American enterprises by hosting startup accelerators and tech investment forums. Through its sister company, Sunstone Management, the company also ran the Sunstone Innovation Challenge, which awarded $15,000 in seed funding and $35,000 in additional support to winning startups.
